My poem, A Place at the Table, is included in this anthology edited by Kim Triedman, with a preface by Paul Farmer and Ophelia Dahl. All proceeds for the sale ion this anthology will go to Partners in Health to support the people of Haiti.
On February 23, 2010, eighteen poets of the greater Boston community came together at Harvard University’s Longfellow Hall to read poetry to a huge audience , all gathered to raise consciousness and funds in response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Co-organized by poets Kim Triedman and Jim Henle, the reading became the basis for this collection edited by Ms. Triedman. It includes work by Robert Pinsky, Rosanna Warren, Gail Mazur, Danielle Legros Georges, Patrick Sylvain, and Jean-Dany Joachim, among others.
This collection of poems reminds us all of that was not lost in the earthquake: the drive to create, the strength of our community, the extraordinary perseverance of the Haitian people.
